Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27/07/2026
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones Genielo (genielo.com) sets, their purpose and lifespan, and how to manage your consent. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a site. It allows your browser to be recognised and certain information to be remembered. We distinguish:
- session cookies, deleted when the browser is closed, and persistent cookies, which remain for a set period;
- first-party cookies (set by Genielo) and third-party cookies (set by external services).
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies to: ensure authentication and the security of your session, remember your preferences (including your consent choice), enable referral tracking to work, and — subject to your agreement — measure Site audience on an aggregated basis.
3. Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Type | Lifespan |
| genielo_session | Authentication and session maintenance | Essential | Session (~2 h) |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Security — protection against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) | Essential | Session |
| magicai_gdpr | Stores your choice to accept or reject non-essential cookies | Essential | 12 months |
| referer_session_id | Referral / affiliate attribution | Functional | ~139 days |
Audience measurement: no analytics tool (e.g. Google Analytics) is currently enabled; therefore no audience-measurement cookies are set. Should such a tool be enabled, its cookies would only be set after your consent, and this page would be updated accordingly.
4. Legal basis
Cookies strictly necessary for the operation and security of the Service are set without consent (they are indispensable). Audience-measurement or marketing cookies, where applicable, are only set with your prior consent, collected via the banner.
5. Third-party cookies
During payment, our partner Whop (merchant of record) may set its own cookies on its checkout pages, governed by Whop's privacy policy. Genielo has no access to those cookies.
6. Managing your consent
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time:
- by deleting the magicai_gdpr cookie from your browser: the banner will reappear on your next visit;
- via your browser settings, which allow you to block or delete some or all cookies.
Help by browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the Service from working properly.
7. Consent duration
Your choice is stored for 12 months via the magicai_gdpr cookie. Upon expiry, your consent will be requested again.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Service or to regulations. Any change is published on this page with a new update date.
